MADD - Mothers Against Drunk Driving
The mission of Mothers Against Drunk Driving is to stop drunk driving, support the victims of this violent crime and prevent underage drinking.
Founded by a mother whose daughter was killed by a drunk driver, Mothers Against Drunk Driving® (MADD) is the nation's largest nonprofit working to protect families from drunk driving and underage drinking. Since MADD's inception in 1980, nationally, the number of drunk driving deaths has been cut in half. Since the launch of the Campaign to Eliminate Drunk Driving® in 2006, MADD reduced drunk driving by 27% and has helped save nearly 30,000 young lives through the passage of the 21 Minimum Drinking Age Law. MADD reaches a parent every 30 minutes, on average, with our research-based Power of Parents® underage drinking prevention program, and has helped reduce underage drinking significantly among high school students. Additionally, MADD has served over 61,000 victim/survivors annually – serving one person every 8.6 minutes, through local victim advocates.
MADD is also having an event where you can get a great deal on some of their links. Click on the Charity Website above to visit the page!
